Behind The ScENES
Caregiver Collective was created by Yaya Li and
Rachel Rhee, two high school students in the California Bay Area.
We have seen the firsthand impacts of taking care of a loved one, and the toll it takes on caregivers. When we went searching for a solution, what we found was a lot of general advice: useful, but not specific.
The real answers are scattered across thousands of caregivers who each figured out their own version through trial and error. But that knowledge rarely gets written down anywhere searchable. It lives in someone's memory, maybe gets mentioned once in a support group meeting, and then it's gone.
This is a place to collect what general resources leave out: the specifics. The thing that worked, a task, a hard moment, a story, the options are endless. But most importantly, shared by the caregiver who found it, for the next one who needs it.
